World Steel Price 2000 to 2004
The year 2001 saw a continued drop in steel
price, especially for plate, cold rolled coil and medium section, with which the
price dropped about 15%. This came with the worldwide economic downturn.
Starting from the early 2002, the steel prices were in a quick recovery. Hot
rolled coil reached about 350 US $/ton at January 2004 from a price of about 250
US $/ton at the early 2002.
